Sharing my most recent Leadership Journey

 

In my capacity as Executive Director of Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids (BB4CK), from 2011- 2021, I was privileged to be part of a team that is inspiring a city of people to take meaningful action, by feeding and caring for kids who would otherwise go hungry.

With a great team of people, I proudly led this successful and impactful organization through many opportunities, struggles, organizational growth, and organizational pivots for ten years with a vision that communities ensure no kids go hungry. As an influential community leader, across Alberta and Canada,

I know what it takes to practice the tactical and caring side of leadership.

Transitioning out of my role at BB4CK, I have a passion to help leaders have the courage to be more authentic and human-centered in their practice of leadership.

The leadership paradigm is shifting to this way of leading.

I guide leaders to learn more about how to listen to themselves, know their purpose, and care for others so that they can be impactful in life and leadership.

I refer to this as a “people-centered leadership” practice.

This practice allows people to lead with authentic confidence to be their best selves in the effect they want to have and creates opportunities to be better together!

Here’s How

Committing to a year to work together: 

  • Monthly team sessions - a combination of leadership team/ whole team/ board. 

  • Monthly 1 on 1 with Executive Director 

 

What you will get

  • A journey through grounding in self-awareness and self-care- teaming- foundational work to ensure purpose, values, vision, and mission are clear, accurate, and aligned to the work. 

  • Creating measurable 3-year outcomes aligned to your organization’s fundamentals. 

  • Coaching the team through setting SMART goals that are realistic and stretch you a bit! 

  • Often a missed step is how to set up the systems or structures or habit-building to have the goals actionable and consistent. 

  • Potential work with your board of directors for alignment and effective work. 

    • Google Drive for notes and resources and document sharing. 

    • Usable documents for you to update and edit as needed related to the work. 

  • 1 on 1 coaching and mentoring and someone in your corner as you take on the role of a leader!
